Donating
The Jefferson Seed Library is entirely donation-dependent. Thanks to generous donations of time by our master gardener, as well as seeds from companies and community members, we are able to serve our community by providing access to FREE seeds and information to help you with your garden!
If you would like to help our Seed Library by donating seeds, there are 3 ways you can donate.
1. Bring purchased seed packages to the front counter at the Jefferson Public Library. Just attach a completed seed donation form to the seed package.
2. Save seeds you grow. Every seed in our catalog has steps for how to save seeds. Just make sure:
- The seeds are free from debris.
- The seeds are in a paper bag/envelope/paper seed bag.
- Attach a completed seed donation form to your seed bags.
3. Cash. Cash is a great way for the Seed Library to purchase popular seed varieties of vegetables or fruit, full fill seed requests made by our members, and purchase prizes for our raffles!
Why Donate?
Because good things will happen to you!
By donating seeds, you can increase the number of seed packets you are permitted to “check out.” Each donated package equals an additional seed packet you can “check out!”
Donations also equal raffle tickets for prizes at Garden, Grub, and Gab our yearly garden celebration!! See the Rewards Program for more details!
A Big Thank You to our Sponsors!!
And Community Members like You!!
